Over the next two weeks, we will be jumping into our third movement of Genesis. The third movement spans from Genesis 25:18-35:1 examining the life of Isaac and his son Jacob. Within the third movement, we will be focusing our attention on the theme of Blessing and Curse. This week we will actually be taking a bigger picture view of understanding what is a blessing and a curse as described by the Bible. Both words carry a lot of presumed understanding within each of us. How do you understand what a blessing is? What do we mean when we say "bless you," or pray a blessing at a meal? We are going to be jumping back to Genesis 1 this week looking at how the bible defines the Blessing. On three separate days of creation, God gives a blessing. What is the blessing that he gives? 

Read through Genesis 1 and 2 tracing the theme of Blessing and curse. In preparation for next week read through the entirety of the third movement from 25:18-35:1.
