This week we are looking at an almost identical story of Jesus feeding a large crowd out in the desert with nothing but a few loaves and some fish.

In the context of the stories that we have looked at before, where is this story taking place? To what people? Why would this be significant?

Why is it that the disciples fail to remember what Jesus had done when he fed the 5000? How could they be so blind? Are there ways in which we also forget so quickly what God has done?

Jesus is questioned by some disciples after crossing the lake. One way of looking at this testing is that they are tempting Jesus with this request. What does this request reveal about their blindness in contrast with the blindness of the disciples?
