We are an independent, fundamental Baptist church affiliated with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches Pacific (FEB-Pacific) and a voluntary fellowship of born-again believers, assembled for mutual growth practicing the ordinances and the promotion of the Christian Gospel in all the world.
We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriptures (both the Old and New Testaments) and that “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (II Timothy 3:16) We believe that the original autographs are without error because of the work of the Holy Spirit as He moved each man to record the words of God. (I Peter 1:20,21)
We believe in one God with three eternal distinctions: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are of the same essence (John 4:24) but separate in personalities and functions. (Matthew 3:16,17; Matthew 28:19,20; II Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully with the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God (John 10:30; 20:31) and that He is eternal (John 1: 1,2). We believe that when Jesus Christ came to take on the form of man (Philippians 2:6-8) that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22,23). We believe that He lived a sinless life (II Corinthians 5:21) and that He provided the necessary atonement, vicariously, for our sins by the “sacrifice of Himself” (Isaiah 53:4-6; Hebrews 9:26; I Corinthians 15:3). And we believe that after He died and was buried He physically rose from the grave (I Corinthians 15:40).
We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and indwells every believer at conversion (I Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:9). We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:8); that He is active in the new birth (John 3:5,6); that He testifies of Christ (John 15:26); that He makes intercession for believers (Romans 8:26). We believe that man’s sin hinders the Holy Spirit (I Thessalonians 6:19). It is essential that a believer not grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). Being filled with the Spirit is not evidenced by the manifestation of any gift, but rather by the fruit which the Holy Spirit produces (Galatians 5:22).
We believe that Satan is a real and personal being who is void of truth (John 8:44). We believe also that he is the god of this world (II Corinthians 4:4) who has blinded the eyes of them which believe not (Acts 26:18) and that he is in constant battlement against Christians (Ephesians 6:11,12).
We believe in and accept by faith (Hebrews 11:3) the Genesis account of creation (Genesis 1:1-31). We believe the God created all things (Colossians 1:16), including man. Our belief in creation repudiates all hypotheses of evolution.
We believe in a literal heaven where Jesus is today preparing a place for believers (John 14:1,2). We believe that only those who have received Jesus Christ into their hearts will be able to enter into heaven (John 3:3-6).
We believe that God created man in innocence, but by willful disobedience man sinned (Romans 5:12,19) and because of this, everyone is a sinner (Romans 3:10,23) with an inherited sinful nature (Psalm 51:5). Therefore, man is under condemnation (John 3:18,19) without defense or excuse (Romans 5:16-18).
We believe that salvation is of the Lord (Philippians 1:6) on the merit of the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 2:24,26). Salvation is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8-9; II Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5). We believe that repentance and faith must be present in every lost person who wants to be saved (Acts 2:38, 16:31; Romans 10:9,10). We also believe that once a person has been truly saved, he is secure in Christ since he possesses life everlasting by the grace of God (John 3:16, 36; I John 5:10-13; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:28-39).
We believe that the true church, which began at Pentecost, is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are thus united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head (Ephesians 4:1-16; I Corinthians 12:12-27).
We believe that Christians should be separated from the world, and from disobedient brethren (I John 2:15-17; II Corinthians 6:14, 7:1; I Corinthians 5:1-13; II Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15).
We believe that baptism is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, of the believer’s identification with Christ in His burial and resurrection to newness of life (Romans 6:3-5). We believe that the only Scriptural mode of baptism is by immersion in water (Matthew 3:16; John 3:23; Acts 8:38-39).
We believe that the Lord’s Supper symbolizes the Lord’s death (I Corinthians 11:16). The elements used by this church to symbolize His blood and body should be grape juice and crackers or bread.
We believe in the Blessed Hope, the personal pre-millenial and imminent return of Jesus Christ for His bride, the true Church (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
