This Week's Passage

This week we are continuing in our Mark Series even though we will be doing it out at Camp. Don't worry, we plan to record it to make sure you don't miss a thing! We will be looking at Mark 1:35-39, in which we see Jesus retreat for some solitude and prayer, a man hunt for him begins, and then Jesus and his disciples depart to preach at other villages in the region. As you study this passage, ponder some of these questions: 

Why was everyone looking for Jesus? What did they want from him?

Why in verse 39 does Mark exclude physical healing from the list? Usually, it is distinct from but often paired with casting out demons...

What was Jesus Preaching? Why is he driving out demons? These speak to the bigger reasons of why he came.
