This Week's Passage

This week we are diving into John the Baptist, understanding how he took on the Spirit of Elijah and what that meant for the coming of the Lord. Take some time and study Matthew 11:7-19 and ponder some of these questions:

What does it mean that the Kingdom of Heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it?

What is the wisdom and what are the deeds mentioned in v.19? What were the expectations of the Jews regarding Elijah's return?

What do modern-day Jews believe about Elijah's return? How does this differ from what we have learned about Elijah so far?
