The first change is that Pastor David's office will be moving upstairs into the Library. With this change, we will also be repainting the room during our workbee on May 25. While David's office will be moving into that space, the Library will continue to be available in its current location.
The second change will be shrinking down the library to offering primarily resource books (Bible Studies, Commentaries, Parenting, Marriage, Autobiographies, etc...). Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be removing the Fiction section of our Library and offering them for anyone to take home and keep for themselves.
Over the last year, it has become apparent that there is a need for the office to be located upstairs, close to the foyer. We would like the church to be open and accessible to all throughout the week while Pastor David is working in the office. With the office currently being downstairs, it is difficult to know who may be coming into the church if the doors are unlocked and potential conversations may be missed with others if the doors are locked. There is also the worry of giving someone a heart attack when Pastor David comes upstairs to say hello to an unsuspecting visitor.
Kathi Sadlier has done an amazing job as our librarian for the past 25 years and will continue to do so. The plan to shrink the library and keep it in its location makes it more manageable for Kathi and allows her to continue serving our church in this ministry.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Pastor David or any of our board members and we would be happy to answer them.
