This week we are looking at the very well known story of Jesus feeding the 5000 people. As you read the passage in preparation for Sunday consider some of these questions:

What other moments are there in Scripture of God providing food to large masses of people when there is none to be found? Consider moments in the lives of Moses, Elijah, and Elisha.

What parallels does this story have with the Israelites receiving manna and quail in the desert during the Exodus?

What do we learn of who Jesus is through this passage? How should the abundance of food left over in our passage direct us to live?
