This week we are continuing to announce the next portrait of our Mark Series, Jesus as Prophet. Our passage covers a sandwich of two stories. A story within a story. As you read through the story of Jesus raising Jairus' daughter to life as well as healing a woman from years of bleeding, what are the themes that you see across the two stories? What are the societal contrasts between Jairus and the woman? What do their acts of faith have in common? As we continue to see Jesus as Prophet, can you recall the other few moments in the Old Testament of people being raised from the dead? What do these stories teach us about faith and how we should walk in it?
