This week we will be going through 1 Kings 19:9-18, examining the story of Elijah and his time on Mount Horeb. Some questions that you can ask yourself as you study and prepare for Sunday are: Why is God asking Elijah "What are you doing here?" Why does God put on such a big display only to be heard in a gentle whisper? Why does Elijah answer God's question in the same way both times? How does Elijah's time on Mount Horeb (Sinai) compare with Moses' time on the Mountain with God in Exodus 3 and 33-34? How does God show Elijah that he isn't the only one and that he isn't alone?
